Current exhibition: BÁSICOS --> Galería Vanguardia, Bilbao

 BÁSICOS es una propuesta expositiva que reúne los últimos trabajos realizados por Txaro Arrazola (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1963) en Galería Vanguardia.

Integrada por pinturas, la muestra aborda el tema de los muros que son construidos para detener la miseria en sus lugares de procedencia, muros que pretenden mantenerla controlada en los márgenes y hacerla invisible a los ojos de quienes no la viven en primera persona.

El título que da nombre a la exposición hace alusión a la vuelta de esta artista hacia una de las obsesiones que la han acompañado desde el principio de su carrera: la desigual distribución de la riqueza.

Txaro Arrazola reside en Vitoria-Gasteiz y colabora con la Facultad de Bellas Artes de la UPV/EHU desde 1999. En 2010 fue premiada en la Bienal Unicaja de Artes Plásticas de Málaga. Expone su instalación Wake Up, We are getting Killed en el Kustarkaden de Munich en 2008. En su trayectoria ha sido galardonada con diversos premios y becas, como la otorgada por la Comisión Fulbright y el Ministerio de Cultura en 1996.

“Básicos”  is the title of an exhibition that brings together the latest works by Txaro Arrazola (Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1963) in Galería Vanguardia.

Integrated by paintings, the show approaches the topic of the walls that are constructed to stop misery in its places of origin, walls that try to keep it controlled in the margins to make it invisible to the eyes.

The title that gives name to the exhibition does allusion to the return of this artist towards one of the obsessions that have accompanied her from the beginning of her career: the unequal distribution of wealth.

Txaro Arrazola lives in Vitoria-Gasteiz and collaborates with the Faculty of Fine arts of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) since 1999. In 2010 she was awarded a prize at the Biennial show Unicaja of Arts in Malaga. In 2008 she exhibits her installation Wake up, we are getting Killed at the Kustarkaden, Munich. She has been awarded with diverse prizes and scholarships, as the granted by the Fulbright Commission and the Department of Culture in 1996.

"Básicos" izeneko erakusketak Txaro Arrazolaren (Gasteiz, 1963) asken lanak osatzen ditu eta Vanguardia Galerian erakutsiko dira ekaina arte. 

Bere pinturek hormen gaia abordatzen dute. Horma hauek miseria jatorriaren haren tokietan gelditzeko eraikitzen dira askotan, menesetan kontrolatua mantentzeko eta pobrezia ikusezina egitea.

Erakusketaren izena bera, Funtsezkoak, artistaren antzinako obsesioaren inguruan dago: munduko aberastasun banaketa desberdina.

Txaro Arrazola Gasteizen jaiotako eta Bilbon eta Gasteizen artean bizi den artista da. Euskal Herriko Unibertsitateko irakaslea da 1999 urtetik Leioako Arte Fakultatean eta Arte Ederren Masterra, SUNY Purchase-an (New York Estatuko Unibertsitatea,1996-1998).

Bere azkeneko obrak ondoko kulturunetan egon dira ikusgai: Montehermoso Kulturunea eta Kunstarkaden (Munich).

Apirilaren 29tik ekainaren 14arte. Ordutegia: astelehenetik ostiralera goizeko11etatik ordu 2etara eta arratsaldeko 5etatik 8etara.
